Icelandic Horses can be seen worldwide fighting the bit.
What is it about the riding style that makes the horses fight the bit?
Has it become so normal for the horse to fight the bit, that it is totally ignored...
...that it becomes part of what the horse does and part of the gait?
The mouth opening... the odd tipping of the head... throwing the head... jerking the head... going behind
the bit... heads held at an angle that inhibits the horse's vision...
Why would we bring in trainers who ride like this, to teach us to ride the same way? or to teach our youth to
ride in this manner?
The cycle has to be broken at some point... for the benefit of the horse.
Who will put their ego aside, and put the horse first?
