Trail Horse
Harold Roy Miller
T is for tack, which we live to acquire.
R stands for ride, our goal and desire.
A is for Abetta, my saddle for pleasure.
I is for the internet, where I purchased this treasure.
L stands for lunge, long-line and lead.
H is for all of the hay that we feed.
O is for overweight, caused by this hay.
R is for ranch, where us heavyweights stay.
S is for stalls, where I spend so much time.
E is for equine, to finish off this rhyme.
This poem is an acronym, of course.
All of the letters spell out "trail horse."
The fact of the matter is very well known –
there is joy in riding a horse of your own.
