Icelandic Horse
Connection
The email lists that we have are all easy to use, have accessible archives, can be read in single email form, digest version (one big email per day), or read on-line (No Mail). Messages can also be posted to the lists via your email program (plain text format required) or thru the website.
To access the archives, you must be a list member. Thereafter, you can login at http://groups.yahoo.com and then click on to the name of the list. This will also take you to the "Post" section wherein messages can be sent to the list via the website.
All posts to the lists must be in plain text format and must be edited (trimmed). For further information about this, click on the following link: Posting. Please be sure to read this section before posting to the lists. We have a new page in process which tells how our archival search engines work: Search System.
Any topic that has been discussed on the list, from trimming, shoeing, training, gait definitions, summer eczema, import, import fees, breeders, feeding, care, riding, prices, saddles, etc., can be found here.
The first three lists are the most important to become involved with. The first is the IceHorses list--to learn more about Icelandics and/or meet other Icelandic Horse owners. The Gaited Horse list--to have access to knowledgeable gaited horse trainers, judges, and breeders. The (clicker) Training List--to learn the best ways to communicate and train your horses.
List rules are located here: List Rules, and Email List FAQ's.
Please be sure to read the Rules and FAQ's before posting to the lists.
