Diagonal Advanced Placement in the Trot

Diagonal Advanced Placement is a deviation in the gait of trot, where one diagonal (either the front or hind) lands fractionally before the other.

DAP does not make a trot four-beat; the difference is generally only visible in pictures or slo-mo video, but some trots are obviously four-beat.
